Sailing Introductory Course - NSW

'After a short introduction you will be shown aboard your yacht. Our yachts are all keel boats which range in size from 31 to 50 feet. Yachts vary but include luxurious Hunter & Beneteaus. Objectives to be covered in the Introductory Sailing Course are: Know what safety equipment to carry on board, when and how to use it.Understand the principles of sailing and how they apply to a larger yacht. Be familiar with basic sailing technology. Have a basic understanding of how to sail a yacht on all points, tacking, gybing and basic sail trimming. Know the safe and correct use of winches - hardening in and easing out. Upon completion of the course, you will be presented with your Introductory Certificate and your instructor will sign off your AYF log book. You will also be confident to progress on to the Competent Crew Package.'
