'Your day commences with your exclusive four-wheel drive and guide taking you to the Lost City on the Newnes Plateau. Set within the Wollombi National Park, the Lost City is a beautiful and peaceful location ?so quiet you could be hundreds of miles away from civilisation. The fragile rock pagodas sit delicately balanced in their primeval splendour, nestled out of sight below the rim of the escarpment. Take a lovely bushwalk around the Lost City; listen to the birds of the Blue Mountains; smell the Australian bush; enjoy your gourmet picnic lunch served on a pagoda. After lunch, you then travel a short distance to the Zig Zag Railway for a journey into the past as you ride the restored line over sandstone viaducts and through the tunnels. Take a seat and, as a passenger, take the time to admire the views as you zig zag down the mountain to Bottom Points Station. On a section of the return journey, for a unique experience, you will travel on the footplate of the steam engine. Here, you will have the opportunity to shovel coal as the fireman, and sit in the drivers?seat to take the train back to the top. Your day is completed with a short drive back to Katoomba in the late afternoon.'
