White Water Rafting & Abseiling Day - Vic

We meet at Cheshunt General Store at 0900. Most people drive up the night before and stay in Mansfield or Whitfield. Include in this fantanstic day: * Wet suits (feel free to bring your own) * Rafts * Thermal top * Spray jacket * P.F.D. (Buoyancy Vest) * Helmet * Instructor ratio no greater than 5:1 * Instructors carry a rafting first aid bag * Radio and mobile phone communication on the surface Raft rescue & safety gear You will need to supply: * One pair runners (you dont mind getting wet and have good grip) * One pair woollen or thermal socks * Woollen jumper or fleece (cotton draws the heat away from your body) * Thermal Underwear * 1 pr. Large shorts to go over wetsuit * Bathers & Towel * Water resistant sunscreen * Dry change of clothes (left on the bus) * Waterproof (plastic garbage) bags for wet gear * Sunglasses with a retaining strap (also needed for normal lenses)
