They called it kyrangh the long neck which was interpreted by the new settlers as Coorong. The Murray River flows two and a half thousand kilometres down to South Australia into the Coorong providing a haven for wildlife. This experience is really one for nature lovers with opportunities for bird watching and plenty of photography.
