Cycling Three Day Tour - Tas

'This tour blends the modern freedom of the cosmopolitan island lifestyle with the living history of Tasmania's 200 year tumultuous past. Your three-day cycling journey kicks off with a complimentary pick-up from your Hobart hotel and takes you to the beginning of your exploration of Tasmania's south east including the magnificent Tasman Peninsula. A safety briefing and bike fitting will all be conducted prior to the commencement of riding. Guests will be riding a Trek hybrid bike with touring tyres, with an adjustable stem and suspension seat post and also a gel seat cover. All personal belongings will be safely stored in the van travelling along with you. Day one commences with a drive from Hobart to Orford, just over an hour away. Today's riding is all completed before lunch. Take the challenge of an entire morning of riding through some superb coastal scenery and into the heart of dense forest. After a gourmet caf?lunch, relax and enjoy the afternoon without the bike as you explore the Port Arthur Historic Site. Three shorter rides make up day two's interesting offering of a variety of terrains and scenery. Visit the Coal Mines Historic Site and ride over to Lime Bay for morning tea. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the beach after riding down to Fortescue Bay. And finally complete the day by riding from Midway Point into the historic village of Richmond to the door of your delightful B&B accommodation. Your third and final day offers selection of interesting activities including some time with the local Tasmanian wildlife, wine tasting and lunch at Meadowbank Estate, concluding with a ride to Moorilla Estate. Finally, head into Hobart by approximately 5.30pm with hotel drop-offs also included. Tour price includes bike, gear, excellent quality lodge and inn accommodation, all meals and all activities as listed, two guides and a support van.'
