If Shopping is your passion, you’ve come to the right place. Whether it be high fashion, cutting edge design, bargains or markets chic, Sydney has it all. High fashion and cutting edge design can be found in exclusive pockets around Sydney. Sydney City, Paddington, Bondi and Newtown offer the big brands and many boutique shops for up and coming designers. In the city, places like the QVB, Strand Arcade, World Square and Pitt St Mall should be checked out. Personally, I’m more of a bargain hunter and hence really enjoy factory outlets and markets. Factory OutletsBirkenhead Point DFO Alexandria MarketsI also love wandering around the markets to check out the latest designs and antiques. Every weekend, different markets are held although here is a collection below: Glebe Markets - Saturdays Paddington Markets – Sundays Rozelle Markets – Sundays The Rocks Markets – Sundays Shopping Centres / Shopping StripsMost suburbs will have their own shopping centres. The majority of the one’s in Sydney are Westfield’s. Jump in your car and have fun discovering one! If big ticket items are on your shopping list, head to the Moore Park Super Centre on South Dowling St and fill your home with the furniture, white goods and electronics on offer. There is an Ikea there too, although Homebush has just opened the Southern Hemisphere’s largest one on Homebush Bay Drive. Stand out shopping strips, in terms of location however would be the ones located on Bondi Beach and at Manly. Both are near to the surf and offer ideal Summer Shopping.
